If you currently own the beta product (Dino), you are eligible for a free upgrade to Bondu! We’ve sent an email to all Dino families with the steps to get started. bondu is designed for children ages of 4 to 8, when curiosity, imagination and BIG feelings are growing fast. (Ages below 4 are not generally recommended given the conversational component of the product). Because bondu is powered by AI, it learns and grows alongside your child, making every stage of play fresh and exciting.

Yes, bondu requires a stable Wi-Fi connection to chat, play and learn.
Yes, parents have full control over their child’s personal information and chat history in the bondu app. There you will be able to review, manage, or delete your child’s chats, history and/or personal information at any time with ease.
The privacy and security of you and your child’s information are our top priority. We use industry-standard safeguards such as encryption and secure authentication to protect your account. Access to any personal data is strictly limited to authorized core team members who need it to support your experience.
bondu only listens and responds when it’s turned on and in awake mode, so every interaction is intentional.
- Sleep Mode: After 5 minutes with no activity, bondu goes into sleep mode. Once asleep, bondu can only be reactivated with a wake word.
Auto Shut-Off: After 10 minutes of inactivity, bondu powers down completely. To play again, simply press the button on the base, to turn it back on.
Conversations are never shared or sold. Data is stored securely to ensure bondu is learning and growing alongside your child. Through the app, you can review or delete any data at any time.
We hope your child falls in love with bondu, but if it isn't a perfect fit, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Contact our support team at support@bondu.com for a prepaid return label. Refunds are processed after receipt and inspection of the returned bondu.

- Download the bondu App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Tap “Create new profile.”
- Follow the on-screen prompts to personalize bondu for their first hello!
Once connected, bondu will be ready to play, chat, and start exploring with your child as soon as it’s out of the box.

We've heard many concerns about AI safety. Just like yourselves many of us have children and are aware of the recent incidents in the AI space. It is heartbreaking and deeply concerning.
bondu has been built with safety in mind from the beginning. Your child's safety and well-being are our top priority, and we want to reassure you about the safeguards we have in place.
bondu is listed on kidSAFE and is FCC approved. What does this mean? It means we have been thoroughly tested by 3rd parties on the best safety standards you can comply with.
We've designed bondu with strict content filters to prevent engagement with harmful topics. If a child mentions anything related to self-harm, suicide, violence, drugs, alcohol, or other sensitive subjects, bondu will not have a conversation about it. Instead, it gives a gentle, age-appropriate redirect.
Parents are also notified through our Parent App if a concerning topic is mentioned. Within the app, you have full control over settings, can manage which topics are allowed, and can review your child’s chat logs at any time.
We run a public bounty for the community that if you report an inappropriate response then you will be rewarded $500. We've had this program for over a year and no one has been able to make it say anything inappropriate.
Parents also have control to decide what is appropriate or not on the mobile app. You can edit the blocked topics on the mobile app and have full control to adjust bondu however you like.
bondu interacts entirely through voice. It listens and responds verbally. Through our beta program, we learned that children tend to have the best experience when they have stronger verbal communication skills.
